Welcome to Canopy Bounds Green, a premium nursery setting at Avenue Lodge in Haringey. The name “Canopy” was inspired by the canopy layer in the rainforest, where the trees are thriving and are closest to the sun. Our aim is for the children to thrive in their development at Canopy Nurseries. The Canopy layer also provides a shelter that offers safety, warmth, and a sense of security. Just like the rainforest canopy, we aim to provide a nurturing and safe environment where children feel protected, cared for, and free to explore and grow.
Leadership Team
Shane and Shella Popat, proud parents of two children, bring their passion for early childhood education and development to Canopy. As a qualified Early Years teacher , Shella brings years of experience and knowledge to the nursery. Inspired by Canopy’s values and mission, Shane and Shella are committed to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive. As parents themselves, they understand the importance of a safe, supportive space for young minds to grow and flourish. By building strong relationships with parents, caregivers and the community, Shane and Shella aim to create a nursery that embodies Canopy’s vision and provides children with the foundation to reach their full potential.

Opening Times
Canopy Bounds Green will be open for 51 weeks per year, closing for one week between Christmas and New Year. Parents can choose from a flexible weekly schedule, with a variety of sessions to suit their needs.
Full days: 7.30am – 6.30pm
Mornings: 7.30am – 1pm
Afternoons: 1pm – 6.30pm
School Days: 8.30am – 3.30pm
Availability
The rooms at Canopy Bounds Green are playfully named to reflect the natural flora and fauna of the rainforest:
The Nest: A cosy and secure space for infants from 0-2 focusing on comfort, nurturing and bonding with key workers. The Nest reflects the safety and warmth that newborns and infants need.
Hummingbirds: A lively and energetic room for toddlers from 2 years -3 years, designed to inspire exploration and the development of motor skills and social interactions. The Hummingbird represents their curiosity and rapid pace of development.
Toucans: A vibrant and playful room for children aged 3-4 years where they are ready to engage in more structured learning and creative play. The Toucan represents brightness, creativity and the development of social skills as the children interact more with their peers.
The Hive: Canopy is delighted to offer a dedicated dining room and home economics space. Children will enjoy freshly cooked meals prepared on site by our nursery chef and take part in a fun educational programme; Canopy Cooks, to learn where food comes from, and to develop a natural exploration for different foods and tastes from around the world.
The Aviary: Inspired by the aviary where birds of different species share space together, the Canopy Aviary is a welcoming community space for all to enjoy. The Aviary will host a range of extra-curricular activities for the children to enjoy to give them a well-rounded and engaging curriculum. We look forward to hosting the Canopy Café; an opportunity for parents and carers to join us for a coffee morning and chat and to build a like-minded Canopy community centred around the family.

Fees
Fees are fully inclusive of meals, drinks and snacks.
We ask parents to supply nappies and formula/breast milk only.
Payments
Fees are payable monthly in advance. Customers will be required to set up a direct debit which will automatically collect their fees on the 1st of every month.
A deposit of £150 is payable to secure your child’s place which will be returned when they leave the nursery.
A non-refundable registration fee of £95 is payable when registering and reserving your place.
Canopy accepts childcare vouchers and tax free childcare payments.
