Growing Our Team:

Canopy Nurseries at the Westfield Job Fair

Last week, our Canopy Nurseries team took part in the Westfield Job Fair in London on the 17th and 18th of October — and what an incredible two days it was!

Our Director, Lynne, was joined by her son Sam, and together they spoke with several hundred enthusiastic attendees who were eager to learn more about opportunities in early years education. The atmosphere was buzzing with energy and curiosity, and it was inspiring to see so many people interested in building a meaningful career working with children.

At Canopy, we’re proud to be growing our network of nurseries across North West London — with six settings now open or opening soon:

  • Wembley ParkSt Albans, and Potters Bar – our more established nurseries, thriving with experienced teams.
  • Frogmore House in Watford – recently opened and already making a fantastic start.
  • Bounds Green – our newest addition, which opened just this week.
  • Uxbridge – opening its doors in November, and we can’t wait to welcome new families and staff there soon.

As we continue to grow, we’re passionate about cultivating talent and building high-performing teams who share our values of curiosity, care, and connection. Many people we met at the fair told us they were looking for opportunities that offered training and qualifications, and for those eligible, our Early Years Apprenticeships are a fantastic pathway into the profession. Unsurprisingly, the few apprenticeship places we currently have available were in high demand!

However, one of our biggest challenges remains finding qualified practitioners to fill vacancies across our nurseries. We’re always on the lookout for skilled, passionate early years professionals to join our growing family.

If you’re already qualified and looking to be part of a supportive, forward-thinking team, take a look at our current opportunities here:

We’d like to thank everyone who stopped by our stand — it was wonderful to meet so many people who share our enthusiasm for early years education. We left the fair feeling inspired, optimistic, and even more committed to nurturing the next generation of practitioners.
