New Canopy Nursery Brings Fresh Start for Bounds Green Families
Local families turned out on Friday 17th October to celebrate the official opening of
Canopy Bounds Green Nursery, a brand-new early years setting in Haringey that has
already seen registrations confirmed into 2027.
The afternoon event was attended by former Mayor of Haringey, Sue Jameson, and
Councillor Emily Arkell, who joined families to explore the new nursery and its
incredible outdoor play areas. Children enjoyed activities, animal encounters and
tasters from the on-site chef as the community came together to mark the opening.

Franchisee and Director of Canopy Bounds Green, Shella Popat said:
“The early years are the most crucial in shaping a child’s future. As a teacher, SENDCo and mum, I have seen how those first experiences build the foundations for confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning. Opening Canopy Bounds Green has been my dream for many years, and it is wonderful to see families already enjoying everything we have created.”

Fellow Director Shane Popat added:
“We are so proud to be part of the Canopy Nurseries family. Bounds Green has been completely transformed to create a new space for local families, with a modern
curriculum and inspiring environments for children to explore”.

The nursery opens for full care from this week, offering Canopy’s immersive approach to early years education within a beautifully refurbished space that brings fresh energy to the site.
